A Forgotten America

April 4, 2012

All across America the inner city is known for its high level of crime, extreme levels of poverty, ever increasing unemployment, and massive amounts of abandoned homes just to name a few things. If you follow the majority of media outlets this is the picture you have become accustomed to seeing. Although those things do exist, what we don’t hear is that a small percentage of the resident’s contribute to those factors .
We never hear that majority of the people in the inner city are law abiding citizens who stare in the face of adversity everyday while in pursuit of the same American dream as 99% of Americans. It’s easy to overlook genocide, Wall Street politics, Stereo-types, media propaganda, police brutality, racism, classism, mis-education, local terrorism, poor healthcare, separatist economics,  and the impact of capitalism on urban communities.
There are powers that exist beyond the average persons comprehension who have spent centuries strategizing and implementing a plan to systematically keep 99% of the world at the bottom. Don’t underestimate their ability and capacity to Lord over the have-nots and barely-haves comfortably from a distance. Every move they make is a calculated step that goes unrealized by most of society.
They use everyday Americans as ponds in their scheme unknowingly everyday. With ideologies of mass destruction and separatist movement’s they use divide and conquer tactics to provoke petty argument’s and distractions. While we waste our time fighting religion, sexuality, what people should be able to do with their body ( Pro-life extremist), and who is coming into our country ( anti-immigration extremist) among other things the 1% are working collectively to Lord over us.
There are three funny little words called injustice and Eminent domain that trump the very idea of a actual democracy. America has been hoodwinked into believing that we live in a democracy when the truth is we live in a hypocracy or capitalism-ocracy. Although greed kills many of us are capitalist at heart and so we give convincing speeches and lip service but never take a stand. The question you might be asking is how can healing the hood help me?  Well, I am so glad you asked. In my next article “How about some solutions” I will attempt to do just that provide practical solutions.
When the underserved and underdeveloped do well it has been statistically proven that the world is better off. The economy does well because the hood consumes, there is far less crime because people are in school and at work instead of juggling idle time. Flourishing communities invest more in their communities, businesses, public institutions, and resident’s. When the hood does well they spend more time in their own community. I’m sure that makes you racist and facist happy.
When the hood does well the debt ceiling isn’t over budget. Bold statement but true whether you believe it or not. I would prefer to hear that from an economist first you say, oh you mean the same economist that got you into this crisis in the first place? They are the same economist that stood silent on the sidelines because they had no answers and still don’t today.  Well fine, you can do that if you so chose to. But while you attend the cathedral of capitalism and head to the pulpit of greed  to here the gospel of capitalist propaganda those with real eyes for lies will continue to fight the good fight.
